Unsure about Therapy
If you are still unsure about therapy, then I appreciate you! The odds are there is something you have to gain and something you have to lose by trying therapy. Doing something new can mean confronting what you’re gaining and losing from what you’ve been doing.
Many people I've met haven't considered therapy because it means facing some uncomfortable emotions, they worry what other people would think, or they think it makes them a failure. When people share this, I smile because it is incredibly normal to have thoughts like this. My reaction is a question — do you want to try a new way of dealing with things, and are you open to some discomfort to help you do that?
I believe in loving and caring for yourself, and acknowledging help as a strength because you want to be aligned with who you want to become. Being here is a huge step already. The best part is that you can stop anytime, and there is absolutely no judgment.
